I was saddened earlier in the week to hear that one of my favourite teachers from high school had passed away. I remember adoring her classes and being wrapped when she praised my writing. Today I attended her funeral with a good friend. It was amazing to catch a glimpse of her whole life, not simply the snippets I caught in the classroom. She was an amazing woman who will be missed by many people, but who will live on in all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
I'm a little emotional and exhausted now. I'm trying to focus on the excitement of Christmas and my birthday the following day.
