Last of Summer

I wore this yesterday to go to uni. I was incredibly tired, near brain dead. It's not exactly gratifying to see evidence of this in photos.

I was very proud on my hemming job on this skirt, not lop sided in the least! It's a little harder to style than I'd anticipated, this shade of brown doesn't get along with much in my wardrobe.

Square Window

Is this not the most amazing window you have ever seen? Well it makes me excited. Because it only came into existence 4 days ago. And now our bedroom is brimming with natural light and happiness. It's a revelation. The view's not bad either. Curtains pending.

Packaderm

So I'm feeling quite blog-savvy at the moment as not only do I have a outfit post with photos I'm getting more and more proud of every day, I have another outfit post on the back burner as well as ideas brewing for some more posts on this and that. With my number of views always rising, all I need is a few more followers - and maybe a giveaway - to feel like a real grown up fashion blogger.

I wore this yesterday after work and was told a looked indian, works for me. This top has survived a number of wardrobe cleanses, mainly because the elephant is pretty darn awesome, also because I like the drapery of the sleeve. I give myself extra props for outfits that involve two pieces, rather than just a dress. I find it takes more thought and dallying to mix and match.

Flowers and Spots

Do you ever have one of those mornings when you stare at your wardrobe - with enough clothes for three people if you ask Reece - completely at loss as to what to wear? That was me today. Luckily this outfit evolved and I am actually pretty proud of it.

This golden snitch necklace from etsy opens up to reveal a watch. Time keeping and Harry Potter, how could I resist?

Driving my Da to the airport with Mum today as he heads back to Queensland. He's been visiting over the holidays, though I haven't seen him nearly as much as I'd like as I'm not living at home. Though he's Mum's dad he tends to spend most of his time when he visits talking and drinking with Dad.

I love it when pieces fall into place and suddenly you have an outfit you adore that has been at your finger tips all along.
I bought this skirt from savers a while ago. It languished in my cupboard for a while, waiting for it's soulmate who I happened to pick up in a local op shop yesterday. Teamed with my ever faithful, goes-with-everything belt it was as though it had foretold by the heavens.
The skirt is a little large, me being habitually lazy two bobby pins sufficed to hold on my admittedly slim frame for the day though I should probably come up with a long term solution. I have a feeling this will be a long term affair.

By the way, do we like the borders?
