Zig Zag

I wore this last night for winding down from a weekend of work and dinner with the fam. The dress is a vintage number from etsy, bought during the hight of my maxi obsession which has petered out a little.

I have three - count them three - days of in a row so I splashed out and painted my nails for the first time in over a year. I have - wait for it - four days off in a row next week so I may have to pick up another colour.

I've had a spasm of inspiration from Elizabeth from Delightfully Tacky's blog post and general trawling of the internet and have decided I want to make/drastically alter more of my own clothes, especially dresses. I'll let you know how that pans out as I had an argument with my mother's sewing machine trying to put together my embroidered pillow case.

Max love

I think I am developing a slight addiction to maxi dresses. This one, which arrived yesterday, brings my collection to four. A modest size, but I'm proud of it. This one is crocheted with neutral colours. I took it on it's inaugural outing to my first uni exam, whose saving grace was that it was only multiple choice. Though I do get the feeling I checked 'all of the above' a few too many times.
Again I missed the day light hours, luckily the boy obliged and took some full length photos.

Tomorrow one of my closest friends is visiting from interstate, so I'm taking her on a proper Melbourne shopping spree. I can't wait!

Also, in a fit of boredom on the train home I downloaded the instigram app. If you have it my user name is of course wishiwereaudrey :)

Not so long weekend

I wore a variation of this outfit to an engagement party yesterday but forgot to take photos. So here it is in poor light. Though I did get the boy to take it so no mirror photo.
I have a thing for maxi dresses at the moment. This one was a bargain and is really easy to dress up or down as you please and is also suited to Melbourne's bi-polar weather. Hopefully the rain clears for the cup tomorrow!

Happy Halloween to those lucky enough to reside in countries that embrace it. I always wanted to dress up and trick or treat when I was little, but mum would not allow it.
