Dainty Floral

It's that time of year again. Placement is almost wrapped up, my classes finish this Thursday and exams are right around the corner. Despite my best efforts to keep on top of things I have a heap of notes and scenarios to sift through in order to be somewhat prepared.

Things aren't made easier when the weather outside is gorgeous with a capital G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S and I'm chained to my desk.

I did manage to take a few days off uni and work last week and headed to Ballarat with my mum to watch two of my sisters in one their most important dance competitions, the same one I competed in last year. This is what I wore for the car trip there. When I first started 13 years ago (good lord that's a long time) it was a really long drive, but what with freeways and bypasses it only takes an hour and a half or so these days.

I bought this dress in a pretty awesome op shop haul the other week. It's pretty near to perfect in terms of floaty spring dresses that translate nicely into other seasons.

Slouch

This top is so comfy, I wear it at least twice a week and that's being conservative. The best thing is it can be pared with jeans or something else with a bit of an edge for a 'out of the house appropriate' look or with something else lose and comfortable for a extra super comfy ensemble for studying. This leans towards the latter.

Halter

I bought this dress from Zara while I was in Italy and had only wore it once, while there, until I pulled it out last night for a BBQ. My gut feeling is that it's not the most flattering style for my body shape, but I tend to stick my nose up at the idea that certain people should wear or avoid certain styles.

Things are hurtling along at a frightening speed over here. I'm excited to wrap up uni for the year and find some time to breath.

Note the pastiness of my shoulders, this will not change over the summer months. I don't tan - I bleach.

Sprung

So my blogging schedule has trickled down to once a week if I'm lucky. Cue traditional apologies, I've been busy with work/uni/placement and every time I wear something I'm quite proud of it's rainy/windy/dark. Luckily today Reece was happy to take a few photos of what I wore out to breakfast.

The whole whits and light blue denims thing gets me really excited for late Spring and Summer. We're still getting the occasional beautiful Spring day but they're interspersed with rain and clouds.

The end is within site in terms of uni for the year. I have 3 weeks left of classes followed by 3 weeks of exams. I have tonnes of projects planned for the break as well as a 21st party to plan.

Max Crop

Earlier this week Summer wanted to remind us it was coming so it elbowed Spring out of the way and slapped us in the face. It was a blissful two days and now it is raining. Because.... Melbourne, right?

And cropped shirt over a maxi dress? Best thing I've done in ages.

Lounge Skirt

I have more and more days lately where I may have to work or go to placement later and putting a great deal of effort into what I'm wearing just doesn't seem worth it. Cue easy but fun ensembles such as this. Cute and flouncy, but comfortable and easy. My version of tracksuit pants and a hoody.
